Chelsea Rod and Gun Club has gone to the Dogs.
Yes that’s right we have started a hunting dog club we have had two meetings thus far and ten members with a blend of retrievers, pointers and a few beagles too. We are taking new members as they become aware.
The first meeting was in David Drenth’s barn and we watched training videos from Chris Aiken and made some decisions and how we want to proceed. The second meeting was at the gun club and I purchased 20 chukar for release and we had a successful outing see where the doge needed extra training etc. We are planning a December or January meeting at my barn with Greg Peter and a past partner talk about dog first aid in the field and beyond.
