The CR&G Youth Group was recently invited over to the Grass Lake Sportsman’s Club (GLSC) for a friendly competition with their youth group involving .22 rifle and trap. After a hard fought battle under a hot blazing sun, CR&G managed to win the overall club trophy. Although Grass Lake had both the top male and female shooters, our strong bench support was enough to get the job done. Due to time limits, the kids shot three position (prone, sitting, offhand) slow fire .22 in the morning and then had two rounds of trap in the afternoon with lunch in between. The GLSC were very gracious hosts to our kids and we look forward to returning the favor the next time we meet. Be sure to check out the trophy the youth group won.
