CPL /CCW CLASSES at Chelsea Rod and Gun Club: July 15th and 16th

The Chelsea Rod and Gun Club will be providing a CPL - Concealed Pistol License class on July 15th and July 16th, 2011.

Club Member Jim Moomey Passes at 64

Hello All, Unfortunately I must report that Jim Moomey passed away on Wednesday of Pancreatic Cancer. He was 64 years old. Jim was a great lifelong friend of my family and an outstanding member of our Club. One of the greatest contributions Jim made to the CRG was the envisioning and creation of the 3D Archery program, which is one of the best events the CRG is known for to this day. Jim also was a big part of the modern Hunter Safety program, Trap Range, the Chelsea Fair booth, the Rifle Ranges, and several other activities. Speaking for my family and for many members of the Club who knew him, he will be missed dearly.

Jim�s Visitation will be at Nye Funeral home in Ann Arbor on Liberty at Wagner on Friday at 1-4pm and 6-8pm. The Funeral will be at St. James Episcopal Church in Dexter, MI. at 11am Saturday. The Funeral will be followed by a memorial dinner at the CRG clubhouse at about 1pm. If you would like to honor Jim and give your condolences to his family, please come to the visitation or to the Club Saturday and share your memories.

VOLUNTEERS are needed, to help with the setup and/or takedown for the memorial dinner. Please contact me at this email, or give me a call at (734) 883-9279 and let me know if you can help out either tomorrow afternoon, or Saturday morning, or for takedown on Saturday Evening. I understand that this is short notice, but we could really use any help you could give us.
